Different but almost as good was our canoe trip down the Upper Zambezi which started with a most alarming safety drill about what to do if a hippo, the species which apparently actually kills more people in Africa than anything else (apart from us) upends your craft. Having got into our canoes a few feet away from where a large crocodile had been a few minutes ago concentrates the mind!
Having got through some rapids, steering close enough to the hippos to enjoy them whilst far enough away to be safe,was very stimulating!

More relaxing and a rather different experience but also with lots of
wildlife was the sunset booze cruise further down river that evening.
